Testing the Ice
A True Story about Jackie Robinson

Author Sharon Robinson, daughter of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, will discuss her new children’s book, "Testing the Ice: A True Story about Jackie Robinson," which tells the story of her father, who could not swim, walking out on a frozen pond to test the ice before his children went ice skating.

Sharon Robinson is an educational consultant for Major League Baseball. She has written several other nonfiction books about her father, including "Promises to Keep" and "Jackie’s Nine."
