Nature Unleashed

The New Madrid Fault

As part of a continuing series on natural disasters, the Clinton School and the Clinton Foundation will host a panel discussion about the New Madrid Fault Line, which runs through parts of Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois. In conjunction with the new Clinton Center exhibit "Nature Unleashed," University of Memphis seismologist Gary Patterson and Arkansas Geological Survey geologist Scott Ausbrooks will discuss the fault, which poses the highest earthquake risk in the United States outside of the West Coast. The exhibition is based upon "Nature Unleashed: Inside Natural Disasters," created by The Field Museum in Chicago, and runs through September 6.
